Op Shop volunteer - Auckland Driver
Auckland (Mangere) Centre
We are looking for reliable volunteer drivers to help with routine pick up and drop off, of furniture. This role would also involve some assistance with moving/arranging the furniture within our Auckland Op Shops.
Duties will include:
- Running pick-ups/deliveries as needed within the Auckland area, and scheduled days out of town.
- Following the scheduled bookings for each area
- Comply with all health and safety requirements
- Help moving furniture in store
Hours
We’re looking for a number of volunteers to assist us in being able to offer this service 7 days a week, from 9am – 5pm. There is flexibility with hours, between multiple volunteers.
Requirements
- Full clean driving license, good written and spoken English skills, reasonably physically fit as the work involves some lifting (loading/unloading).
- Happy to travel out of town on occasions, to service other area pick ups/ drop offs.
- Be able to work independently and cooperatively within a team environment.
- The applicant should be a safe and courteous driver with reasonable knowledge of the Auckland area.

A few things to note:
- You must be at least 15 to volunteer in our Op Shops.
- You must be at least 16 to volunteer at our Centres. If you are younger, please check out our sections on 'Volunteering for Kids', 'Volunteering from Home' or talk to your family about fostering opportunities.
- You may need to provide an up to date Ministry of Justice check during this process, and we'll ask about any medical conditions so we can ensure your safety while volunteering.
