Volunteer positions
Op Shop Electrician volunteer - Auckland
Auckland (Mangere) Centre
Our group of various Auckland Op Shops play a crucial role in raising funds for SPCA. We heavily rely on electrician support to perform compliance testing and tagging on donated electrical items. Can you lend a hand?
Some of the tasks involved include:
- Visiting a store location onsite to perform compliance testing
- Testing and tagging all incoming donated electrical items at that location
- Advise the team what electrical items are either safe/in working order or broken/not safe for sale
What can we do for you?
- Our marketing team can curate and display a poster in our electrical category, showcasing your name/company logo as our electrical volunteer support
- Offer you the option to install and add your name/company logo 'test and tag' sticker to the cord of all electrical items
What can you do for us?
- Provide assurance and advice
- Help us raise vital funds for animals
Times and days available:
We ideally need at least two visits per month, or can discuss their needs with you to adjust the frequency based on incoming volumes throughout the seasons. Most of our shops are open 7 days a week and would be happy to accommodate and work around your schedule.
